Program Overview

  • WHAT is it?
    • A virtual learning program offered by Laupāhoehoe Community Public Charter School (LCPCS). The program provides an opportunity for students to learn from home with the support of the Kaupeʻa staff and the program’s partner, Harmony Education.
    • A variety of curriculum choices allow students to receive a customized learning experience.
    • Students have the opportunity to participate in regularly scheduled Options Days, elective classes designed to complement the at-home learning experience and academic plan.
    • Middle School
      • Kaupeʻa is open to applicants entering grades 6-8 on Hawaiʻi Island.
    • High School
      • Kaupeʻa is open on Hawaiʻi Island to only 9th and 10th grade applicants.
  • WHO is eligible?
    • Elementary
      • Kaupeʻa is open to all school-age applicants in grades K-5 on Hawaiʻi Island.
  • WHEN is the enrollment deadline?
    • June 30, 2018
    • Submission of all enrollment requirements must be received by the deadline above for the application to be considered.
    • Should we reach our program enrollment cap, applicants will be enrolled in the order that completed applications are received. In such an event, applicants not enrolled will be waitlisted.
